4B is a wire EDM resource for companies that fabricate parts or need features placed in metals or other exotic materials. Wire EDM machining centers are expensive, and skilled personnel to program and operate them are hard to find. 4B has made it possible for companies that need the wire EDM process, to get that service from us, without having to make a large capital investment in equipment and training of personnel.
Material hardness is never a factor when using the wire EDM process, which makes it an ideal process for cutting hardened steel, carbide, and many other materials that simply conduct electricity. We use only Mitsubishi wire machines, and they are full 4-axis, submersible machines. The many types of jobs we do regularly here, include stamping dies and form tools for lathes with all necessary relief angles to tolerances up to +-.0001". Wire EDM offers many advantages, including the ability for us to cut intricate tapering and contours, with burr-free applications, and the capability to machine very intricate and fragile parts, achieving high accuracy, REPEATEDLY.
